These Terms govern your use of whiteum.com and our early-access program. By using the site or submitting a request or application, you agree to these Terms. The Charter Member Terms and the Charter Partner Terms also apply to Charter members and Charter partners respectively.

1. About White Umbrella

White Umbrella Technologies Inc. ("White Umbrella", "we", "us"), an Illinois corporation, is building a private network of licensed, independent chauffeurs and fleets in Chicago for pre-arranged travel. During early access, the site is used to collect requests and applications. No rides are booked or sold on the site during early access.

2. Early access

  • Submitting a request or application does not guarantee an invitation, a partnership or any particular date of launch.
  • We review every request personally and may accept or decline any request at our discretion.
  • You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You may request early access only for yourself, your family or a company you are authorized to represent.

3. Invitations

Charter members may receive personal invitation links. An invitation gives the invited person's request priority in our review; it does not guarantee acceptance. Invitations are personal, non-transferable and have no cash value. We may limit, suspend or cancel invitations that are sold, published publicly for mass use, or used in bad faith.

4. Text messages

If you opt in, you agree to receive account notifications by text from White Umbrella. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. See our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: submit false information or requests on behalf of others without authority; attempt to access areas of the site that are not public; interfere with the site's security or operation; scrape the site in a way that burdens it; or use the site for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The White Umbrella name, logo, designs, text and other content on the site belong to White Umbrella Technologies Inc. You may not use them without our written permission, except to share links to the site.

7. Services by independent partners

When rides begin, transportation will be provided by independent, licensed chauffeurs and fleet companies, not by White Umbrella employees. Separate terms will apply to bookings and will be presented before you book.

8. Disclaimers

The site and early-access program are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Descriptions of future services, privileges and timelines are our current plans and may change.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, White Umbrella will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the site or the early-access program. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site or early access will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept them.

12. Your responsibility for what you submit

You are responsible for the information you submit and for your use of the site. If a third party brings a claim against White Umbrella because information you submitted was false, because you submitted it without authority, or because you misused the site in breach of these Terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Electronic communications

You agree that we may send you notices, confirmations and other communications about your request, application or account electronically, by email or (if you opted in) by text message, and that these have the same effect as if they were on paper.

14. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and, where they apply, the Charter Member Terms and the Charter Partner Terms, are the whole agreement between you and White Umbrella about the site and the early-access program.
  • If part of these Terms cannot be enforced. The rest of these Terms stays in effect, and the part that cannot be enforced will be applied to the fullest extent the law allows.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
  • Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
  • Our slogan. Phrases such as “We’ll be there.” express how we intend to serve our guests. They are not a guarantee of arrival times or of any particular result; the terms presented when you book will describe what is promised for each journey.
